7 Tricky Interview Questions that can make you Trip

Interviewers often ask various tricky interview questions to test a candidate’s potential. While, preparing for an interview could be a tedious process in itself, not practicing to answer some of these tricky interview questions can potentially kill your much-needed confidence. You need to be equipped to grapple these nerve racking and brain racking interview questions that may leave you totally out of your place during an interview.

What are your pet peeves?

In preparedness, you firstly need to establish such possible interview questions that may be asked by your interviewer. To make things easier, we have listed below some of the most common tricky interview questions that may be demanded from you at an interview. Please bear in mind that these are not in any specific order, but you are most likely to come across one or more similar interview questions during an interview.

I have noticed that you have been unemployed for quite some time now. How can you match with other people who possess comparatively more work experience?

In answering this particular question, you need to persuade your interviewer that you are far more competent, being well informed about the latest state of the art technology. And, then give more details of how you can quickly obtain access to any given subject domain or theme.

What are your significant weaknesses, vulnerabilities or weak spots?

In responding to this specific question, you need to point out to your interviewer, that you can be intolerant at times, and that you expect your colleagues to be capable, equipped and responsible. However, make this understatement an advantage on your side by making it clear that you expect team tasks to be divided according to individual skills to build upon everyone’s strong points.

Can you engage on a task with someone who will take recognition and glory for your excellent concepts, design and scheme?

You could answer that by saying that you would try and present your own ideas to your superiors yourself in the first place. However, if need be, you would try to discuss any issues openly with your colleague, emphasising the importance of teamwork and even positioning both of you as people with strong ideas.

What is your idea of an ideal organisation or company?

You could answer that, an ideal organisation would have full control of everything from resourcing of materials, production, warehousing, marketing, financing, human resourcing, to total management of the operations and the general administration.

Tell us about a situation at work where you had to take a very bold action?

Do not be scared in answering this question. Answer this question truthfully & carefully while omitting any act of violence that might jeopardise your job application. Just focus on any particular past action at work that would merit your job interview.

What are your pet peeves?

You could answer that false deadlines are rather unfair and totally unnecessary, especially when the reports in question end up sitting on the manager’s desk all day long without even being touched.

Tell me something about yourself that I did not read in your resume

You could mention a skill or a talent that is unique and may reveal something intriguing about your personality. The key is to also ensure that nothing that was already mentioned in your resume is repeated.

Conclusion:

There might be a number of other tricky interview questions that you may come across in a job interview. Ultimately, you should believe in yourself and be articulate in answering such interview questions.

It is also recommended to seek some professional career guidance for best results.
